Climate & Health Vietnam is a multidisciplinary initiative developed and operated by VietnamWellcare. We work at the intersection of climate change, health systems, healthcare quality, patient safety and environmental sustainability.
Our role is to translate evidence into practical knowledge, tools and collaborative activities that support healthcare organizations in Viet Nam.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Climate-related hazards can affect population health, increase demand for healthcare and disrupt the infrastructure, workforce, utilities and supply chains on which health services depend.
Healthcare organizations must therefore be prepared not only to respond to changing health needs, but also to maintain safe, reliable and accessible services under increasingly complex conditions.
These impacts may be especially significant for vulnerable populations and communities whose access to essential health services is already limited.
Viet Nam’s diverse geography, rapidly developing health system and exposure to extreme weather make locally relevant approaches particularly important.

Climate & Health Vietnam is an initiative of VietnamWellcare. It is not a government agency, regulatory authority, accreditation body, certification body or professional society.
The Initiative does not issue professional credentials, organizational certification, accreditation or regulatory approval. Its resources and readiness approaches are intended to support education, self-assessment, planning, implementation and improvement.

OUR PEOPLE
Dr. Binh Phuong Le is a physician-executive and healthcare quality leader with more than two decades of experience in healthcare leadership, quality management, patient safety, accreditation, clinical governance, and organizational improvement. He founded Climate & Health Vietnam to connect climate resilience and environmental sustainability with the practical requirements of safe, reliable, and well-governed healthcare. As Founder & Initiative Lead, he leads the Initiative’s strategic development and its work to help healthcare organizations in Viet Nam strengthen preparedness, service continuity, sustainability, and organizational resilience through practical, evidence-informed approaches.
